For my money, LIANE CARROLL is the best living singer in the world. But let’s see what some of the toughest British critics wrote about her albums: Slowdown is this world-class singer’s world-class record, and the expression doing more with less might have been written for it.  John Fordham, The Guardian. – Same again, all round please! John Bungey, The Times. – She has a mid-Atlantic vocal that combines swing virtuosity with the raw spirit of old-school R&B. Clive Davis, The Sunday Times. One of the singularly most powerful records I’ve heard all year. Peter Quinn, Jazzwise Magazine. Carroll is a great performer, guaranteeing a good time when uptempo, as well as being beautifully affecting on slower numbers…The real thing. Sholto Byrne, The Independent. Liane Carroll doesn't just sing jazz. She is jazz! Mojo Magazine
Live she is even better!!!  This time Liane teams up with a fantastic Hungarian rhythm section:  On bass-guitar the virtuosic magician of his instrument, JÓZSEF ’PLUTO’ HORVÁTH and GYÖRGY JESZENSZKY on the drums, a fantastic all-rounder who crops up in the most diverse formations ranging from ethno-jazz through hard-bop right to the outer reaches of the avant-garde. At the Gabor Cseke Trio’s London gigs he proved once more his fantastic sense of dynamics.
