A zongorista-énekesnő LIANE CARROLL hatalmas alkat, hatalmas egyéniség, de mindenek felett hatalmas hang! Ma már nem csak a kritikusok, de a brit jazzközönség többsége is őt tartja a szigetország legjobb jazzénekesnőjének. Számos nemzetközi elismerés és turné után Liane Carroll Slow down c. albuma, a Ronnie Scotts mellett London legtekintélyesebb jazz klubjában, a 606 Club-ban debütált. Billy No Mates című lemeze a kritikusok elismerése mellett a BBC Jazz Awards díját is elnyerte. 2009-ben tomboló sikert aratott nálunk, a Budapest Jazz Clubban, majd két hónapra rá a Sziget Fesztiválon is. Egy évre rá, majd azóta minden évben visszatér hozzánk és ő lett közönségünk kedvenc brit előadóművésze. A magyar jazzénekesnők derékhada is rendszeresen kivonul meghallgatni. A ma már világsztár Liane Carroll átütő erejű kifejezésmódját energikus énekhangjának, vibráló személyiségének, és nívós, ugyanakkor könnyed zongorajátékának köszönheti. This time Liane teams up with a fantastic Hungarian rhythm section: On bass-guitar the virtuosic magician of his instrument, JÓZSEF ’PLUTO’ HORVÁTH and GYÖRGY JESZENSZKY on the drums, a fantastic all-rounder who crops up in the most diverse formations ranging from ethno-jazz through hard-bop right to the outer reaches of the avant-garde. At the Gabor Cseke Trio’s London gigs he proved once more his fantastic sense of dynamics.
